May also be responsible for recruiting, licensing, monitoring and re-licensing individual and family day care and foster care homes, assessing providers' need for training, and developing, organizing and conducting training programs for service providers. County Agency Social Worker (Child Protection Specialist) Responsible for providing intensive social work services for the protection, rehabilitation and care of children, investigates complaints of abuse and neglect and provides preventive services to the dependent and neglected child. Minimum Qualifications of Education and Experience 1) graduation from an accredited four-year college with a major in social work and 2) Achieve a passing score on the ASWB Bachelor's level licensure examination.
